Shale and Lucia

"I'm beating you, Shale!" Lucia called behind her as she ran ahead of the white dragon. It was dusk, and the two were having a friendly race through the forest. Lucia was proving herself the better runner; as for Shale, he was trailing behind with tiredness.
"Not....for long," he huffed, trying to accelerate with the lasting energy he has. "Just watch me!"
"Oh really?" Lucia grinned. She maintained her speed for as long as Shale could hold out. Seeing that there's not a chance to catch up to her, Shale gave up and came to a halt. He collapsed to the ground as he caught his breath and continued perspiring. Lucia stopped as well, knowing that she had won.
"Ha! I'm clearly......faster than you," Lucia huffed as she approached Shale and stuck her tongue at him.
"Big…..deal," Shale responded between gasps. The lavender dragoness laughed and helped him up. "But I'm impressed," he admitted.
"Thank you, Shale," Lucia smiled and pecked his cheek. "I could really go for a cool swim right now."
"Yeah, me too. Let's go to the lake." Shale took lead with Lucia following beside him. They have grown affection for each other since they've met, for they exchanged brief nuzzles along the way. Afterwards, they made it to the crystal blue lake, and nighttime was upon them. The full moon in the sky emanated a sense of peace and tranquility over the area, and it set the perfect atmosphere for relaxation. "Ladies first," Shale gestured Lucia to go first.
"Aww, thank you," Lucia smiled and went ahead. She placed her right talon into the water; it wasn't too cold for her. She did the same with her left and slowly entered in. "Ahhh, this feels good," she sighed as her body relaxed and relieved itself. Shale took his turn but unlike the dragoness shivered and retracted his talon.
"Ooh, this is so cold. How do you get used this so fast?"
"I'm a water dragoness, remember?" Lucia giggled.
"Oh, yeah." Shale still hesitated to enter the water. Feeling playful again, she smirked and gave a small splash on Shale. "Aah! Lucia!" He jumped back.
"Then come on, Shale! I want to enjoy this with you."
"Fine, I'll jump in. Stand back." Shale stepped back for some distance while Lucia cleared the way for him. "Here I come!" He dashed forward and jumped at the brink, flying past Lucia and splashing into the water. Underneath the surface, Shale's eyes were shut closed and he shivered violently as the coldness rushed through him. He quickly came up. "Aaaaaaaah!" he screamed. "So cooooold!" Lucia couldn't help but laugh at her lover's over-reacting.
"Come on, Shale. It's not that bad." she swam over to him, still snickering.
"Yeah….easy for you to say," he retorted still shivering and teeth chattering.
"You look so silly," Lucia giggled. Then she hugged the white dragon, feeling his vibrations. "Calm down." In just a few seconds, his shivering diminished significantly; he finally became used to the water. "Better?"
"Yeah, thanks to you." Shale returned the hug.
"Good. Now come on." Lucia held her breath and backflipped into the water. Shale did the same and dived forward. Despite the blurriness, he could see the lavender dragoness in front of him. She circled him twice before kissing his cheek and smoothly swimming away. Shale, almost being mesmerized by her actions, quickly caught up with her. Both dragons swam casually and closely to each other as they drifted along the seemingly endless water. Lucia added vertical swirls and spins to her movement, feeling so vivacious. Seeing her swim so gracefully made Shale smile. Then the dragoness began swimming swiftly all around him. The white dragon watched his love playfully and deftly shift directions; she appeared to his left, to his right, and beneath him. If it wasn't for the water, he would be laughing the whole time. Then she swam in front of him to share a kiss; Shale gladly complied. As they kissed, their tongues met and intertwined with each other; Lucia allowed his to explore and caress the inner sanctum of her mouth. This was a lovely and pleasurable time indeed: the refreshing water, the playful act Lucia performed, and their underwater kiss.
    It lasted for seconds; unfortunately, he had to go up for air, while Lucia could still keep her breath if she wanted to. Shale tapped her shoulder and then went up, signifying his need of air. Lucia followed. They regained their breath when they resurfaced. Lucia's hair was soaking wet, but she didn't care.
    "And you call me silly," Shale chuckled.
    "But it was for you," Lucia giggled and whipped her hair around.
    "Thank you then. And the kiss," Shale added, smiling.
    "You're welcome." Lucia nuzzled and rested on his shoulder, sighing happily. Shale held her securely. "I love you, Shale."
    "I love you too, Lucia," the white dragon kissed her forehead. With their tails wrapped together, they remained floating in the water, surrounded by sereneness, and full of love for each other.
